Making a film is no easy feat. There’s budget, studio preferences, and plenty of big personalities to consider before you can even to start You have to think about things like pronunciation, editing and cinematography. All of this isn’t as much under the director’s control as many of us think, so it’s no wonder they don’t all enjoy every second of their creations. Here are 21 directors who grimaced or completely disowned their films:
