A sneak peek at Gravitas, Beverly Hills’ new members-only club

Golden Triangle executives and Hollywood creatives will soon have a stylish new sanctuary to work, drink, dine and more.

Gravitationa new workspace and social club, is set to open in a 28,000-square-foot space later this year in Beverly Hills. Adorned with Carrera and Calacatta marble, the multi-story retreat will house a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, an open-air garden bar with stunning views of Santa Monica Boulevard, temperature-controlled wine lockers, private dining booths, a recording studio, two private rooms, a state-of-the-art conference room and a “G-Car” chauffeur service.

A second-floor loft will house another bar, a performance stage, big-screen TVs for viewing parties and a private entrance with discreet elevator access. Through the Gravitas app, members can book personal rides or call their cars stored in the club’s private garage.

The hub is the brainchild of Kansas-based entrepreneur Brandon Steven and hospitality industry veteran Seth Glassman, who first met when the latter helped open 6S Steakhouse in Steven’s hometown of Wichita in 2017. The duo say five-star customer service will be paramount for Gravitas, which caters to senior executives, creatives and “innovators and motivators,” says Steven, who co-founded Genesis Health Clubs with his brother, Rodney Steven, and owns car dealerships in Los Angeles and throughout Kansas.

Renderings reveal stunning terrazzo floors and marble walls, light wood paneling, and laser-cut reflective ceiling accents. Furnishings include sculptural suede sofas, cozy dining booths, and mid-century modern seating.

A 26-seat circular bar could eventually double as a sushi or omakase bar as the culinary program expands, Glassman says. The 100-person garden bar offers unobstructed views of Santa Monica Boulevard; elsewhere, a living wall with seasonal plants that Steven compares to the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

“I’ve been fortunate to visit some of the world’s best restaurants and resorts. I’ve always been passionate about design,” Steven adds. Among the finishing touches is a subtle nod to the Golden Triangle on the entrance’s travertine floor.
