Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s house burglarized followed by attempted home invasion

Goldie Hawn revealed in a new interview that the Los Angeles home she shares with longtime partner Kurt Russell was burglarized several years ago while the couple was out to dinner. Although he assumed “there’s a good chance this won’t happen again,” Hawn was the victim of an attempted home invasion four months later.

Regarding the first incident, Hawn said the couple returned from a night out in 2020 and found their home ransacked. “I went up the stairs and went into my closet and I just lost it,” Hawn told Kelly Ripa during a conversation on the TV personality’s SiriusXM podcast, Let’s talk off camera. “They had broken in from the balcony into our bedroom, our closets, and they completely broke down my door, which is a secure door, so they’re very, very sophisticated and they took a lot of my presents.”

Although the veteran star didn’t give details about the house, the couple is known to have a residence in Pacific Palisades in addition to ones in Colorado and New York. It’s unclear if a police report was filed or if the thieves were apprehended.

Suffering from a burglary, Hawn thought it wouldn’t happen again. However, four months later, she was home alone when she was startled by a loud noise upstairs.

“I’m alone at home. It’s the dog and I hear this big noise upstairs, and I was alone. Kurt wasn’t there and I wondered, “What was that?” “, she recalled to Ripa. “It just sounded like it was a supersonic boom? Did someone jump somewhere? I mean, and it turned out the next day we found out that they were trying to get into my room while I was in the house.

These consecutive crimes led the couple to increase their security measures. Hawn said she employed “a guard,” particularly when she was alone. She added: “I’m never without care. »

Part one of Hawn’s conversation with Ripa on Let’s talk off camera debuted on June 11, with a second installment scheduled for next week. In the conversation, Hawn opens up about her famous children, her early dancing career in Las Vegas, recalling some of her most iconic roles, her favorite co-stars, her MindUp foundation, and more.

Other stars who have been victims of home invasions or robberies include Sandra Bullock, Mariah Carey, David and Victoria Beckham, Drake, Kim Kardashian, Benedict Cumberbatch, Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton and many more.
