Grimes’ mother asks Elon Musk to stop depriving ex-couple’s children of medical care

The mother of indie electro-pop musician Grimes took to X over the weekend to beg Elon Musk, the platform’s owner and father of her three grandchildren, to stop depriving her and Grimes’ children of Grimes’ ability to visit their dying 90-year-old great-grandmother in Canada.

Grimes, 36, whose real name is Claire Boucher, filed a lawsuit against Musk in California Superior Court in September seeking parental rights. Grimes also suggested in since-deleted messages at the time that Musk was withholding one of her sons from her, her mother Sandy Garossino wrote Saturday on X, saying that contacting Musk on her platform was her last resort after all other avenues had been exhausted.

“Dear Elon @elonmusk, it was great to see you on Father’s Day. I hope you got the card I helped X make. He was so proud of it. I’m writing here because it’s the only way I can reach you,” Garossino wrote. “As you know, my 93-year-old mother is now in end-of-life hospice care. She can’t wait to see and hold Claire’s children one last time. Especially the youngest, who she has yet to meet.”

Although Grimes and Musk dated on and off for years, they have three children together: four-year-old X Æ A-Xii, also known as X; two-year-old Exa Dark Sideræl, aka Y; and two-year-old Techno Mechanicus, aka Tau.

“She’s looking forward to seeing and holding Claire’s children one last time,” Garossino continued of her mother. “Especially the youngest, who she hasn’t met yet. She was excited about the children’s planned visit to celebrate her birthday this weekend. Today. But those hopes were dashed when the trip was canceled.”

“I am concerned to hear that the children cannot come because you refuse to give them their IDs and the necessary documents for Claire,” the children’s grandmother said in her message. “It was even more disturbing to see you and X on TV at the Paris Olympics yesterday, after your trip to Washington earlier in the week.”

According to her X-rated bio, Garossino, a columnist who once worked as a lawyer, asked Musk bluntly: “Where are the other children and with whom? They must be with their mother. They were expected here in Canada.”

Garossino concludes by writing: “With the plea of ​​a grandmother, asking you to honor your agreement, return the children and provide the documents they need to see their great-grandmother before she passes. Please, Elon, I beg you. This is so painful for my mother and worrying for the children. Time is of the essence now.”

Musk has 12 known children with three different women; he recently welcomed a third child with Neuralink CEO Shivon Zilis earlier this year.
