Hailey Bieber Reveals Why She and Justin Bieber Confirmed Their Pregnancy

The Biebers, like Justin and Hailey, confirmed in early May that they had a baby on the way with a shocking Instagram reveal that featured photos from an intimate vow renewal in Hawaii and the first glimpses of Hailey’s baby bump.

Now, the model and Rhode founder is explaining why they decided to share the exciting news with the world. “I probably could have kept it a secret until the end, but I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy in public,” Hailey said. L “I felt like I was hiding a big secret, and it didn’t feel right. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life,” the magazine said in its new summer issue, which hits newsstands July 30.

In the cover story, Hailey also opened up about spending time with her pop star husband before baby three. “In the beginning [of the pregnancy]“It was very emotional for me. I thought, ‘I love this human being so much. How can I bring someone else into this?’ I try to enjoy these days when it’s just the two of us, Justin and I,” she said.

She also revealed that she has a distant relationship with her own family, which consists of her actor father Stephen Baldwin and mother Kennya Baldwin. “I’m not very close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own person now and I’ve built my own family. But when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very good and beautiful memories,” she explained.

As for that independence, Hailey signed with an agency at 17 and began traveling the world to start her modeling career. “I started traveling all over the world, making my own money. I got my own apartment and had to learn how to live on my own and pay my bills. It propelled me into adulthood pretty quickly, while most of my friends were off to college.”
