The Paris 2024 Olympic Games have officially arrived.

Airing in the U.S. on NBC and streaming exclusively on Peacock, this year’s International Games will kick off on July 26 with an opening ceremony on the Seine River that is rumored to include performances by Celine Dion and Lady Gaga. More than 10,500 athletes and performers will participate in the river parade, marking the first non-stadium ceremony in modern Olympic history.

Official torchbearer Snoop Dogg will carry the flame on its final stop in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis alongside French rapper MC Sollar, retired Ukrainian pole vaulter Sergey Bubka and others. The Games will conclude on August 11 and Paralympic Games will take place from August 28 to September 8.

The 2024 Olympics bring 329 events across 39 sports in Paris and beyond, including the debut of breaking (or breakdancing) alongside new categories such as a bantamweight division for women’s boxing, kitesurfing and dinghy racing in sailing, kayak cross in canoe slalom and more.

The Games will take place at some of France’s most iconic landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, the Grand Palais, the Concorde, the Hôtel de Ville, Les Invalides, the Pont Alexandre III and more. Other events will take place outside the City of Lights in Lille, Nantes, Châteauroux, Lyon, Bordeaux, Saint-Étienne, Nice and Marseille, while the surfing competition will take place in Teahupo’o, Tahiti.

How to watch the Paris 2024 Olympics: start date, time, channels

The Paris 2024 Olympics will air in the United States on NBC and USA Network and stream exclusively on Peacock. NBC will begin broadcasting on Friday, July 26 with a preview at 9:00 a.m. PT/12:00 p.m. ET.

The Olympic Opening Ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. PT/1:30 p.m. EST and is expected to last about four hours. (The games have already started with the men’s and women’s soccer matches.) The Closing Ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 11, from 12 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. PT/3 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. EST.

U.S. viewers can watch the games on NBC from midnight PT/3 a.m. ET until 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET each day, plus a daily Olympic primetime show featuring behind-the-scenes looks and highlights from the events.
