Steven Spielberg’s stepdaughter, Grey’s Anatomy Star Jessica Capshaw said the famous filmmaker had achieved the ultimate grandparent status in her home.
“Kids talk about him all the time,” Capshaw said during an appearance on Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa“They just think he’s the nicest and cutest, and they’re so proud of him.”
Capshaw is the mother of four children: Luke, 16, Eve, 13, Poppy, 12, and Josephine, 8. She is the daughter of Kate Capshaw, whom Spielberg married in 1991.
The actress said her children were aware of Spielberg’s Oscar-winning fame, but it wasn’t something they were interested in. “Yes, they understand the significance of it… but the value he has to them as a grandfather clearly outweighs that, and that’s not what they’re talking about.”
She added: “They really talk about how he makes them feel, which is that he’s the best.”
After 2022 The FabelmansA semi-autobiographical story that earned seven Oscar nominations, Spielberg will return with his next film in 2026 — though plot details are still under wraps. The film is based on a story by the director with a screenplay by David Koepp, whose collaborations with Spielberg include jurassic park And Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
