POLL GURU WARNS PUBLIC AGAINST OVERRELIANCE ON POLLS: IN LAST TWO ELECTIONS, ‘THEY UNDERESTIMATED TRUMP’

Liberal MSNBC host Chris Hayes criticized the Electoral College on X after seeing current polls showing that former President Trump currently has a better chance of winning the Electoral College than Vice President Harris.

The media expert’s statement refers to a quote from Supreme Court Justice Robert Jacksonwho wrote in 1949 that the Supreme Court would “turn the Constitutional Bill of Rights into a suicide pact” if it did not balance its “doctrinal logic with a little practical wisdom.”

Hayes appeared to use the quote to suggest that America’s commitment to deciding presidential elections using the Electoral College system – which progressive Democratic lawmakers believing is obsolete – would unnecessarily lead to the catastrophe of a Trump return to the White House.

Harris is favored by the popular vote, but she is an underdog in the Electoral College. This is largely due to Pennsylvania (where she lost to Josh Shapiro for the vice presidency).”
