Ryan Reynolds Reveals Fake Movie Project to Stop Deadpool and Wolverine Leaks

During his The hottest appearance alongside his Deadpool and Wolverine His Hugh Jackman co-star Ryan Reynolds has revealed his initial plan to combat spoilers for the new film.

Host Sean Evans asked the cast what makes the difference between a leak and a negative film. Reynolds admitted that this time around, he was “shocked” that they managed to release the film without some of the “biggest surprises” being revealed in advance or even speculated on the internet.

He then shared the elaborate plan he concocted to keep the superhero movie from being revealed to fans — a plan so secret that even Jackman wasn’t aware of it. “The original idea for this movie was to make a fake movie called Alpha Cop “It was intentionally bad,” he said. “I even had one of the posters made — it was about two guys who share a brain and together they make the ultimate cop. And the poster says, ‘Alpha Cop: Two cops, one brain. Nothing but balls.’”

“It was supposed to be kind of horrible, so 10 people in America went to see this movie the weekend it came out and 5 minutes into the movie the Marvel logo would come on and it was actually Deadpool and Wolverine” , Reynolds explained.

“Whoa, that’s cool!” Jackson remarked, impressed by what could have been.

Jackson later recalled dealing with X-Men Origins: Wolverine leaked before its scheduled theatrical release date: “It was [a] rough, rough [cut]and it leaked maybe a week before it came out, and I just remember someone saying, “I think 10 million people have seen it already.” It was the kind of “bad leak” he was hoping to avoid with his latest film featuring the Marvel character.

While the Deadpool and Wolverine Luckily, the stars didn’t have to deal with any major leaks, instead having to navigate increasingly hot sauces, which turned out to be the two actors’ kryptonite.
