Soho House Tokyo expected to open in 2026

Soho House will finally reach Japan, after the global creatives’ private members’ club revealed plans for a house in Tokyo set to open in 2026.

Located in Tokyo’s upscale Aoyama district, an area known for its independent boutiques, fashion stores and a stone’s throw from the Omotesando shopping district, Soho House Tokyo will become the company’s fourth in Asia.

A house in Tokyo has been in the works for a long time, as former Soho House co-founder and former CEO Nick Jones said. The Hollywood Reporter In 2019, among Asian cities that did not yet have a Soho House, Tokyo topped the list alongside Shanghai and Beijing. “In places like Tokyo, it’s about finding the right building,” Jones said at the time.

Now that the building has been found, the company has revealed drawings of potential member spaces, as well as a rooftop pool. The house will also have 42 rooms and event spaces.

Soho House says the interiors will “blend the beauty of Japanese minimalist design with the warm, comforting style of Soho House.”
