The Toronto Film Festival has unveiled its Industry Selects lineup, featuring films beyond the festival’s official lineup and available for acquisition worldwide, each with an in-person screening for film buyers and industry executives.
Leading the selection is Christopher Leone Code 3an action comedy starring Rainn Wilson and Lil Rel Howery and produced by Wayfarer Studios; FarmDavid Yarovesky’s remake of the Argentine action thriller 4X4 starring Anthony Hopkins and Bill Skarsgård; and Teemu Nikki 100 liters of gold, about two sisters famous for their Finnish farm.
Other titles sold in Toronto under the Industry Selects program include: London Callingwhere the director reunites with Josh Duhamel for an action comedy; that of Mehdi Idir Mr. Aznavour from the group Playtime; the film by Korean director Kim So-jin Noise; And Rich fludirected by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia and starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Timothy Spall and Lorraine Bracco.
Sergio Navarretta’s dark comedy completes Industry Selects lineup Yuppie, with Lauren Holly and Brennan Clost; Nik Sexton Clay Pigeon Shooting; and Pia Marais Transamazonia. Launched at TIFF in 2002, Industry Selects offers sales agents the opportunity to select distributors and studio and streamer executives to be invited to a private in-market screening in Toronto.
Alexander Payne The survivors The film first screened in Toronto as part of the Industry Selects section before Focus Features paid $30 million for the Canadian festival’s acquisitions. The latest Industry Selects lineup also comes before TIFF prepares to launch an official content marketplace with films, TV series and other projects up for grabs at the 2025 edition of the festival.
The 49th edition of the Toronto Film Festival will take place from September 5 to 15.
