“The Last of Us” wins the Grand Jury Prize and Best Drama

HBO The last of us was named Best International English-Language Drama Series at the 2024 Rockie Awards on Tuesday night.

The hit series based on the video game franchise also won the Grand Jury Prize at the Banff World Media Festival awards ceremony. The festival jury also nominated Fox’s The Masked Singer the best competition series and game shows, and Peacock’s Impassive face The series, created by Rian Johnson, was named best English-language comedy series.

Elsewhere, the BBC The Graham Norton Show from the United Kingdom won the Best Comedy and Variety Show Award, and the British TV Channel Award Best interests won the best limited series crown. The 2024 Rockie Awards, like previous years, turned into a shootout between American and British television producers. In another trophy presentation, the Canadian culinary adventure Wild cooks series won for best reality show and the trophy for best lifestyle went to Hulu’s Taste the nation with Padma Lakshmi. The Rockie Awards, organized by Late flowering Star Jasmeet Raina judged programming from 19 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany and Taiwan.

Also Tuesday evening, the Belgian series Boris was named best docuseries by the BBC Horrible stories won the award for best live-action children’s series, and the crown for best crime and investigation series went to BBC Panorama. Scandalous: phone hacking on trial.
