Watch: USC WR Kyron Hudson Makes Incredible One-Handed Catch Against LSU

USC receiver Kyron Hudson made an absurd catch in the second quarter against LSU on Sunday.

Surrounded by two LSU defenders, Hudson jumped and caught the ball with his right hand before placing it into his body as he headed to the ground. It appeared he made a mistake in falling to the ground, but the 24-yard reception was upheld on a replay review because the officials did not determine that the ball had touched the ground.

And even if it did, the thing was too cool to take away. Check it out.

The catch set up the game’s first touchdown as Mississippi State transfer RB Woody Marks scored a 2-yard TD run later in the drive to give USC a 7-0 lead.

Hudson is a redshirt junior in 2024 and had 17 receptions for 189 yards last season. His reception Sunday night rivals the interception Robert Morris cornerback Rob Carter had Saturday. We’ll be hard-pressed to see better receptions the rest of the season than the ones Carter and Hudson had on opening weekend.
