Republican voters against Asseta political group seeking to block former President Trump from taking back the White House, released an ad Tuesday suggesting that with his four criminal charges, Trump might not even be able to get a job at a local mall.
The six-figure ad campaign used hidden camera footage of a man going to several stores and saying he was looking for a job. The trap ? He said he faces 88 felonies.
The man in the film asked store managers if they would hire someone found “responsible for sexual assault” or someone who tried to “overturn the 2020 election,” among other heartfelt questions of Trump’s ongoing legal battles.
“If Trump is too big a liability to get a job at your local mall, he’s too big a liability to be president of the United States,” the narrator said. said in the video.
According to the anti-Trump group, the ad will air nationally on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” as well as digitally in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
The ad airs as Trump sits in a Manhattan courtroom in the midst of his first criminal trial, centering on allegations that he falsified business records related to a payment he made to a film actress for adults in 2016 in exchange for her silence about an alleged affair. He faces 34 counts in the hush money case alone and has pleaded not guilty to all of them.
