A striking split screen between the two leading candidates in November’s presidential election unfolded Tuesday, as President Biden delivered remarks condemning rising anti-Semitism while former President Trump watched salacious testimony in the courtroom.
In Washington, Biden took to the lectern at the U.S. Capitol for a particularly somber occasion: the United States Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony.
In New York, Trump sat in court during his secret trial, which included porn star Stormy Daniels. tell the time she spanked Trump with a rolled up magazine before they had sex in 2006.

Daniels spoke Tuesday at Trump’s secret trial. She is the highest-profile witness so far in the Manhattan District Attorney’s prosecution of Trump over a $130,000 payment to her to keep silent about allegations of an affair during the campaign from 2016.
Daniels detailed her meeting with Trump in 2006, describing in detail the features of the hotel room where they met, Trump’s behavior, and some details of their affair.
Daniels responded “yes” when asked if the sexual relationship with Trump had been brief. She also testified that Trump didn’t wear a condom, but she didn’t tell him about it.
At one point, Judge Juan Merchan told prosecutors that the level of detail “was simply unnecessary,” sympathizing with the concerns expressed by Trump’s team.
While Daniels was on the stand, Biden walked to the Capitol microphone to denounce the scourge of anti-Semitism and express concerns that much of the public is distancing itself from the horrors of last October’s terrorist attacks that left more than 1,000 Israelis dead.
“Now here we are. Not 75 years later, but only seven and a half months later, and people are already forgetting, they are already forgetting that Hamas started this terror,” he said. “It was Hamas that brutalized Israel. It is Hamas which took and continues to hold hostages. I haven’t forgotten and neither have you and we won’t forget.

Trump has lamented for weeks that the New York trial is keeping him off the campaign trail, and he has repeatedly claimed that the Biden White House is orchestrating the charges against him. There is no evidence that the Biden White House is involved in the legal proceedings against Trump.
Biden and his aides, meanwhile, have been careful not to directly intervene in Trump’s trial, choosing instead to focus on the president’s daily events and his travels to battleground states. But even some Biden allies couldn’t help but take note of Tuesday’s contrast.
