Blackpink’s Jennie Kim made her catwalk debut in Italy this week, surprising the audience at the Jacquemus show in Capri, Italy.
Kim, one of four members of the K-Pop superstar girl group, closed out Jacquemus’ 15th anniversary show “La Casa” on Monday in a black open-back midi dress with zebra-print heels and a blue clutch.
Although his arrival on the track was a surprise, his presence was teased on Instagram hours earlier, when the brand released a carousel of images featuring Kim in a strapless red dress and thin black glasses.
Kim’s friendship with designer Simon Porte Jacquemus is also well-established: the singer has attended several of his shows in recent years, most recently for the brand’s holiday campaign last December.
The singer also celebrated another fashion moment at the Met Gala last month, where she arrived in a custom Alaïa blue mini dress. This year was the singer’s second Met Gala, following her debut in 2023.
Kim also works as an ambassador for Calvin Klein and Chanel. Beyond her roles in fashion and at Blackpink, she made her acting debut last year The idol, which also starred Lily-Rose Depp and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye.
“It’s overwhelming, but I’m thankful and grateful,” she said of her debut last year. “All these things at the same time.”
