Dayton sex offender on probation re-indicted on child pornography charges

April 22—A registered sex offender in Dayton was indicted for the second time in about two years on child pornography-related charges.

Brett Andrew King, 29, is scheduled to appear in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court on Thursday. A county grand jury indicted him April 12 on 19 counts of procuring sexually oriented material involving a minor and seven counts of unlawfully using an impaired person in sexually oriented material towards nudity.

King was sentenced in June 2022 to six months in prison and up to five years of probation after pleading guilty to child pornography-related charges.

In that case, he was charged in February 2022 with seven counts of obscenity involving a minor (creating, reproducing, publishing) and 12 counts of unlawful use of a minor in material or performance oriented towards nudity.

King is also scheduled to appear in court May 2 for a probation revocation hearing.

He is being held on $50,000 bail at the Montgomery County Jail.
