Emma is one of Taylor’s oldest friends, with the pair first meeting in 2008 at an industry event. Emma said later MTV News: “Then I listened to some of his music, and I wrote him an email telling him I loved his music, I swear. And then we started talking and hanging out.”
The rest, as they say, is history, with Taylor and Emma appearing to be even closer now than they were 16 years ago. In fact, Emma attended several Eras tours last year to support her friend.
And when Taylor released her version of her 2010 album Speak Now in July, it was widely believed that the unreleased track “When Emma Falls In Love” it’s about Emma.
Also, last month Emma’s “quirks” were credited on the song “Florida!!! » From Taylor’s new album, The Department of Tortured Poets.
