Milwaukee mother and her 5-month-old daughter critically missing, police say

Athena Sandoval and her mother Aurora are missing, Milwaukee police said. The five-month-old and her mother were last seen in the 3400 block of N. 44th St.

A 17-year-old mother and her five-month-old daughter are missing, Milwaukee police said in a statement Thursday.

Mother Aurora Sandoval and her child Athena Sandoval were last seen speaking with a youth worker on May 6, police said. This contact occurred around 3:40 p.m. on the 3400 block of N. 44th St.

Aurora Sandoval is missing, Milwaukee police said. The 17-year-old mother and her five-month-old daughter Athena were last seen on May 6.

Police described Aurora as a Hispanic woman, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. She has black hair with blue highlights and bangs; Brown eyes; a mole near the nose and on the cheek near the chin.

Athena was described as having dark hair.

Anyone with information on the two is asked to call the Milwaukee Police Department’s District 7 office at 414-935-7272.
