New Jersey scores well on education, says U.S. News and World Report

US News & World Report released its findings for the nation’s smartest states.

This year, New Jersey ranks as the 4th smartest state in the United States.

According to the report, the data was compiled from measures in the education category that assess both higher education and K-12 factors.

Results come after List of Best States placed New Jersey 14th in the overall rankings that measured the Garden State’s performance on 71 metrics in eight categories.
