Pierce Brosnan to Star in Warrior Nun Creator’s Spy Film

James Bond alum Pierce Brosnan is returning to his spy roots. The actor is attached to star in A Spy’s Survival Guide from director Simon Barry, the creator of the Netflix series Warrior nun.

Uri Singer’s Passage Pictures is producing the project, which centers on a lonely, retired spy who is brought out of hiding by his enigmatic new neighbor, unearthing both of their secrets in the process.

Barry will also write the film based on a story by him and his father, Derek Barry. The feature film project will mark Barry’s feature directorial debut.

Barry’s Reality Distortion Field produces alongside Singer’s Passage Pictures. Fortitude International, which will finance the film, will represent international sales in the Cannes market, with Nadine Barros, executive producer of Fortitude.

“As a longtime fan of Pierce Brosnan, I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside someone I admire for his talent, character and humanity,” Barry said.

Singer added, “Pierce is the perfect person for this role, and we’re very excited to see what he and Simon do together.”

Brosnan, repped by CAA and Hansen Jacobson, was recently in theaters with the DC superhero film Black Adamdrama The last riflemanand action thriller Quick Charlie. Brosnan launched his first personal art exhibition, “So Many Dreams.”

Barry is portrayed by Gersh. Singer is replaced by Knol Hanly PC.
