We get several scenes of Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova in the trailer. In the comics, Nova is the evil twin sister of Charles Xavier, who we know as Professor X. While in the womb, Xavier became aware of his evil counterpart, who was more of an “anti -self” (an entity that was equal to and opposite itself). Xavier destroyed Nova in the womb, causing her mother to give birth to a stillborn child. However, Nova survived as a cluster of cells and slowly regenerated her body until she was whole and dedicated her life to killing her brother. Yeah. She is the sworn enemy of the X-Men. For those who watch X-Men ’97, Nova was the one responsible for Genosha’s genocide in the comics, and is also a main part of the “Xavier in Space” storyline, so I hope the cartoon ties into Deadpool and Wolverine.
