“Beef” Team and Cynthia Erivo Among Honorees at Third Annual Gold Gala

Gold House, the nonprofit organization that connects and celebrates creatives, businesses and communities across the Asia-Pacific region, will host its third annual Gold Gala on May 11, honoring a star-studded group of honorees.

Cynthia Erivo, Padma Lakshmi, Lucy Liu, Saweetie, The sympathizer star Hoa Xuande and the creator and cast of Beef will all be recognized at the event, along with HYBE Founder and Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk, Hello Kitty, Producer-Director Karan Johar, Content Creator Valkyrae, Maui First Responders and the Olympic Skating Team of the American team.

The presenters will also bring star power, with a lineup including Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (aka Daniels), Regina King, Lulu Wang, John Cho, Auliʻi Cravalho, Avatar: The Last AirbenderGordon Cormier, Dallas Liu and Elizabeth Yu, as well as Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s chief content officer.

The Gold Gala is an annual gathering of Asia-Pacific’s top multicultural and leaders, bringing together more than 600 guests to celebrate the 2024 A100 List – the 100 most influential changemakers in Asian culture and society. Pacific over the past year, which will be announced on May 1. This year’s event, to be held at the Music Center in downtown Los Angeles, will have the theme “A New Golden World,” imagining a future for all, built by all. Award-winning fashion designer Prabal Gurung will help bring this vision to life as the Gold Gala’s first-ever creative director.

Gala guests will be treated to a three-course dinner, presented by OpenTable, with a menu designed by Lakshmi (as gala culinary director) and Gold Gala Executive Chef Vijay Kumar. The evening will also include a performance by Saweetie and will be followed by the inaugural ceremony Billboard x Gold House Founders Party to continue the celebration, with a headlining DJ performance from Steve Aoki.
