Renton runs over and catches convicted burglar

A judge sentenced Feleti Wight, 27, to more than 4 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree burglary in connection with several burglaries and seizures in the Renton area.

Wight used stolen vehicles to break into Renton businesses and then rob them. He would have done it dozens of times between October 2022 and September 2023.

Wight was last arrested on September 22, 2023. He had been arrested several times before, but in each case he was released on his own recognizance.

After his latest arrest, bail was set at $100,000 and he remained in jail.

Renton detectives investigated 19 cases involving Wight. Renton police said that after the sentencing, “detectives presented the strongest cases to help prosecutors secure the conviction.” Great teamwork all around! »
