Woman says boyfriend beat her, threatened to shoot her dog, tried to set house on fire and more

Haralson County deputies arrested a man whose girlfriend accused him of a long list of assaults and held her hostage.

Investigators spoke with a woman who said her boyfriend, Connor Ridley, 26, beat her, slammed her head on the ground, bit her and didn’t let her leave their house until to escape into the woods.

Deputies say they could clearly see she was injured.

She told investigators that in the past, Ridley had threatened to shoot her dog, fired shots inside and outside their home and attempted to start several fires inside the home .

Investigators launched a manhunt and found Ridley a short time later.

He is currently being held in the Haralson County Jail and is charged with aggravated assault, battery, false imprisonment, reckless driving, attempted arson and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
